As the building makes one of the most artistic structures in the city, it is perfectly echoed by the many glamorous performances that take place here. It is a place for art both outside and inside and captivates you in ways beyond your wildest imaginations. The highlight of the National Center for Performing Arts is its underwater theme. Going down nearly 33 meters underwater, the building makes the deepest architecture in Beijing. There is water everywhere; in the corridors, in the garage and in so many other places, step in and look up and you will be captivated by the glittering water that floats over head.

The center occupies a total of around 118000 square meters. It consists of three performing venues which include the concert hall, the Opera house and the theatre. Other areas within the building include the underwater garage, a number of underwater corridors, the green space and a large artificial lake. The Center hosts the finest of talents in the industry in performances such as ballets, dance shows, operas and many more. However the visiting tour of the NCPA only includes thematic activities, art exhibitions and a number of facilities.

The NCPA is an exotic art work in itself. A visit to this remarkable structure lets you enjoy and appreciate art in both architecture and the many performances that takes place here.
