With the intention of educating the public, there is now a Peking Man Site Museum that was opened in 1953 and showcases as many as 3,000 cultural relics. Adjoining this site, there were further discoveries of what is termed the ‘upper cave man’ and ‘new cave man’ sites. The habitat as claimed by historians of the Peking man is also there and is called the ‘Apeman Cave’.
