11 Years ago, the Beijing Film Academy introduced and began the much acclaimed International Student Film and Video Festival that became an annual fixture in the Institutions’ calendar and has in fact been listed as such in the curriculum and schedule for teaching. It forms an integral part of the school and what it stands for and prides itself on being one Festival that is entirely managed, organized and carried out solely by the students themselves.

Much thought and preparation go into making this Festival a success and a volunteer programme is initiated a month ahead in order to cope with the vast preparations. The Festival is one of International standards.
Films and videos of all types make their way into the entries and only a certain amount will make the cut for the festival itself. These selected entries will be screened at the 1000 seat Cineplex and introduction of the student filmmaker will be made with the screening of the relevant entry.

The Festival is an important forum by which many similar school representatives and other student filmmakers from across the world gather to share and learn in an exuberant atmosphere of festivity.

The 11th edition of the International Student Film and Video Festival will be held from the 4th to the 10th of November 2012.
